Board Meetings:

We need new board members, especially from the younger leagues. Join the board and make your voice heard! Next board meeting is Thursday, December 4 at Aptos Junior High School, Room 31. Meeting begins at 7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome, you do not need to be a board member to attend. Board meetings are usually held the first Thursday of every month at Aptos Junior High School.

Little League Baseball

Little League Baseball, Inc. is federally charted by the U.S. Congress and is the only youth sports program to enjoy such a distinction. There are currently more than 19,000 leagues charted worldwide, serving more than 2 million youth.

Little League baseball is a program of service to youth. It is geared to provide an outlet of healthful activity and training under good leadership in an atmosphere of wholesome community participation. Little League participants benefit from exposure to the values of teamwork, fair play, courage, loyalty and discipline.

Aptos Little League operates under a charter granted annually by Little League Baseball, Inc. Aptos is part of District 39 which encompasses all of Santa Cruz County, Pajaro, Aromas, San Juan Bautista and Gilroy. District 39 is part of Little League Baseball's Western Region, which is headquartered in San Bernardino, California.

Aptos Little League is governed by the rules and regulations of Little League Baseball, Inc. and by procedures set forth in the Aptos Little League By-Laws. The Board of Directors, a group of volunteers who are elected in September for a one-year term, administers the affairs of the league. The number of board members is regulated by Little League Baseball, Inc.
